Back before Bast was even a tiny seed stuck in the jelly sandwich of my uterus, Dear Hart and I discussed long and hard about what holidays our future family would or would not celebrate and I was absolutely adamant that Christian Easter was not going to be one of them. As an adult I was no longer willing to suffer though that shit for anyone.
It’s nice to not have to “enjoy every moment” all the time because that kind of advice is garbage. I don’t know about you, but there’s only one thing I enjoy at 3:37am and it isn’t blearily trying to find the off switch on a red shrieking demon; however I can’t at all relate to this growing celebration of how awful it is to be a parent.
